Technology often arrives wearing the costume of inevitability. New platforms appear, new interfaces become fashionable, and new capabilities change the language of what teams believe they should build.

Some of that energy is useful. New technology can compress cost, unlock distribution, and make previously impractical products suddenly possible. The opening matters.

Enduring value comes from what novelty enables over time.

The more important question is what the technology strengthens. Does it give people more agency? Does it make a difficult workflow clearer? Does it reduce repeated effort? Does it preserve trust? Does it create a system that becomes more useful as it is used?

Those questions anchor products beyond a single cycle.
